The Iqbal International Institute for Research & Dialouge (IRD), organized a bilingual declamation competition “Zair, Zabar, Pesh, Pesh” of female students of different faculties of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium Faisal Masjid Campus.

Professor Dr. Ahmad Yousif A. Al-Draiweesh, President IIUI was the chief guest and Dr. Husnul Amin, Executive Director IRD, faculty members and students attended the prize distribution ceremony. The position holder students were awarded certificates and cash prizes.The competition was divided into two categories i.e. serious & comedy in which 45 female students participated. The judges’ panel for decision of position holders consisted of Mr. Masood Khattak, IR Department, IIUI, Mr. Shahzaib from Iqra University, Mr. Mustajab Haider, former debater, Mr. Waleed Bin Shahid from PTV world, Miss Irum Zahra & Mr. Samar Babar from Quaid e Azam University Islamabad.
The winners were Miss Ammarah Farhat, Miss Sidra Habib, Miss Mehak Ali & Miss Fatima whereas Miss Aiza Arif, Miss Mehwish Gul, Miss Tabinda Zahra & Miss Mubeen Ashraf remained runners up in the competitions.
Addressing to the students on the occasion, Dr. Al-Draiweesh said that extra-curricular activities boost student’s mental capabilities as well as help them to improve their exposure. He urged the students to participate in such healthy activities to excel capacity of research and academia.
