Lecture on “Importance of Dialogue in Regional Peace”

IRD organized a lecture for a delegation of International Research Council for Religious Affairs, Islamabad (IRCRA) visited IRD. The Executive Director-IRD Dr. Husnul Amin delivered the lecture on “Importance of Dialogue in Regional Peace.” He highlighted the importance of dialogue and role of youth in promoting it. Dr. Husnul Amin made it clear through international examples that dialogue is essential for peace and that is what the enlightened teachings of Islam teach us. He said that the purpose of dialogue is to pave the way for action between different sections of the society so that instead of causing trouble and distress to each other they become supporter for the construction and development of the society. He added that dialogue also refers to constructive thinking focused on resolving conflicts between people of different cultures, religions, faiths, backgrounds and institutions.
He further said that the resolution of the ongoing conflict of Afghanistan also lies in the dialogue. The delegation consisted of more than 30 Afghan and Pakistani students. Baseerat Khan Shinwari MPA KP assembly landi kotal also spoke on the occasion.
