ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is about conflict in Pakistan, mostly ethnopolitical conflict between 1972 and 2005. It was completed in February 2010 and therefore does not include the effect of the eighteenth amendment to the Pakistani constitution, which has fundamentally impacted the social contract among her federating units. It builds a case that conflict in that country has been a product of the weakening of its social contract. This is both a qualitative and a quantitative work which relies heavily on both primary and secondary data as well as diverse techniques from historical interpretative analysis to econometrics.
