ABOUT THE BOOK
The book is an original, first-hand account of the rise of militancy in Swat and the trajectory of the conflict that resulted. Tehreek-i-Nifaz-Shariat-i-Mohammadi, founded by Moulana Sufi Mohammad in 1989 and later led by his son in law Moulana Fazlullah, unleashed a reign of terror in the beautiful valley of Swat, displacing millions of its people, and putting them through a great misery.
